Ernest Brown

Ernest Brown Sr., A hard working man that did it his way, born in Hollandale Mississippi October 17, 1944, to the union of Samatha Brown and Silas Brown Sr. who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by brothers Freddie James Brown, Ed Lee ' Brown, Joe Lee Brown, Silas Daniel Brown Jr, and Anthony Beamon. Ernest began his journey in Christ at an early age but rededicated himself in September 2007 joining St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of Dr. Joel Taylor. He remained steady in his faith throughout the remainder of his life, serving faithfully on the SWAT team. Often seen in the community passing out flyers for upcoming church events, reflecting his deep commitment to God and his community. A man Rich toward God (Luke 12:15). Ernest was devoted to all. If you needed him, he was there no questions. He was a fiercely independent man and a true patriarch of his family. His leadership, wisdom, cooking, teaching, and remarkable craftsmanship left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He attended Parker High School in Chicago where he excelled at sports specifically track; has been known to set records, upon completion he began his career at the Marriott Hotel. He later worked at O'Hare Airport alongside his brothers Freddie, Neamon, and Silas, building not only livelihood but lasting memories with family. Ernest eventually landed in the construction trade where he finished his career becoming an independent contractor, working until his last days. Ernest was married to his high school sweetheart, had children then other significant relationships over the years. He was father to 6 children (Juanita (2) and Patricia (4)) who he leaves to cherish his memory. Marjorie Atkins, Ernest Brown Jr. (Stacia), Charles Allen, Albert Allen, Benjamin Hogan, and Patrick Brown. He is also survived by two brothers, Neamon Beamon and Ricky Beamon (Yolanda Beamon); and eight sisters: Barbara Anderson, Mary Preston, Gail Beamon, Carolyn Beamon, Eunice Benson (Enoch), Gloria McDowell (Perkins), Linda Burns/Stevens (Morris), and Ronita Moody (Dennis).17 Grandchildren,4 preceding him in death and 6 Great Grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a special childhood friend of more than 70 years William Fields known affectionately as "Gene". Ernest's legacy of faith, strength, and unwavering dedication to his family will live on in all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always cherished.
